  • Leno is retireing

NEW YORK (AP) -- NBC announced Monday that Conan O'Brien will take over from Jay Leno as host of the "Tonight" show. But he'll have time to write his jokes -- the planned succession won't happen until 2009.

I liked Leno too, but I'm glad that Conan is the one replacing him.

In my opinion, Conan's humor is actually a lot more funnier than Leno's, even though I love Leno's as well. So in a sense, I'm glad that Conan is replacing him at least. Other than him and Letterman, I couldn't see anyone else host it and live up to the same integrity of the show.

Hopefully Leno doesn't pull a Johnny Carson and hide from the public. He's much too fun and good of a guy to disappear.
