Oh dear, that praying mantis is super creepy. How did you get it to stand still long enough to take pictures?! How did you manage to stay that close to that thing??

He's talking about the first.

It wasn't staying totally still. I tried using flash and it made it move more, so I stopped. That, and the color wasn't coming out how I liked.
As far as proximity... I was also about a foot from it. It wasn't moving much so I was a bit more comfortable getting close to it. I had someone ready to smack it if it made any sudden threatening movements toward me though.

Yay!! My photo teacher said the print I turned in Sat. had "the magic". It was a sunflower pic, but not one that I have in color. I'll scan it in soon.

Mike Miller.. he's part-time. He does commercial/advertising photography and he teaches photo as art and intro photo part-time. He'll looking to become fulltime if they have openings in the future, but he's strictly photo.
