LOL! Since Hip Hop, R & B, House and Salsa are all very Armenian?

lol. That's not how I meant it. The Pasadena Armenian center is in America, so I'm not surprised they'd play hip hop and etc., but Arabic, just not right.

                  Why is that?

First of all, arabic music is quite trendy as of late, and I must admit that they have some preeeeetty good songs. I am actually listening to an incredibly old but very catchy Arabic song right now.

Second of all, many Armenians living in California come from Middle Eastern countries, and it is therefore normal that they've developed a liking to Arabic music and culture.

Now please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this has more to do with Armenians constantly trying to prove the world that we're not Arabs, and are not related to them. It's some sort of identity crisis that we have.

The fact remains that Arab nations have in recent history been very friendly with the Armenian Diaspora, and that friendship has now passed on to the Republic of Armenia. So while we are not Arabs, I don't see why we'd be ashamed of our traditional friendship with them. I guess it makes some feel less "European" or something.

Does anyone other than me not give a rats ass? Gnomes don't know what "Arabic" is period, and they are suffering, and here you people are discussing nothing but your selfish wants and preferences.
