Our power was out for 10.5 hours today supposibly they don't know what the problem was.

We don't appreciate how much we depend on electricity 'till it gets taken away

True. I would also like to add that when it is taken away, we remember how we used to live with out it for a longer time.

try living in a country where you know FOR A FACT that you're not gonna have electricity 4-5 hours a day. and more during the summer! lol
I remember my mom organizing her housework hours (vacuuming, laundry, cooking using a food processor) a day in advance back in Syria...
good days good days...
and I think that's why I've thought about Edison a lot. and I think he would be #1 on my "most important people of the world" list. so please. I beg you. not to hate him.

We have energy all day long... actually this year, government will provide gas also... so, energy is not a problem any more... and, if there is some problem, they fix it in really short time period... I can't imagine life without light... I lived in Armenia during that years, and now even romantic diner should be with lots of light, not with one or two candles ...
