oh really then how do u explain the take over of the ottoman bank in 1890? the attemp to blow sultan hamid's carriage in 1908? the assasinations of the ottoman turkish leaders in the 1920's? and the list goes on...
and your saying we were not fanatical about our case?

I'm just hoping that no armenian attempts such a thing nowadays. The consequences would most likely be disastrous for Armenia. The assassination of talaat was justified, but any attack on turkish diplomacy today will put our state as an agressor, which would make us lose credibility, and turkey's defense would be stronger than ever.
And, on top of it all, I think we have lost waaaaay too many of our men due to turkish politics. Let's not send another one to death because of it.

you know, i might get a lot of heat for this, but i think that the 9/11 terrorists and all, all started out with good intentions. If I were an arab, I would also want the americans out of my territory. However, these people (the terrorists) had no other ways to show their miscontent. What where they to do? Express their point of view through the media? Impossible. Take legal actions of some sort against the US of A? Good luck.
Therefore, they turned (IMHO) towards those older extremists, who easily manipulated them. Once again, this is in no way an expert analysis, just what I think is a very likely situation. Terrorist acts are not justified and I will never ever find it to be a good idea to kill citizens, though in some cases, young nationalists are lead to believe that there is no other way to make their voices heard.
Now let's just hope the CIA doesn't kill me...
