I am sick of always doing the same old same old in LA and surrounding areas, lol, so I propose we let each other in on our secret different, out of the ordinary, places we go to meet, greet, and eat! ... and have fun.
For those of you with a sweet tooth and a preference for places that are different, I am going to tell you of a secret little place.............
Toast, a little lunch-dinner-bakery-cafe-best cupcakes ever!, on Third street in Beverly Hills, after La Brea and before La Cienega, has the best cupcakes ever!! If you've ever been to Magnolia Bakery in NY you know the cupcakes because these are made by the same people, but right here in LA. If you like chocolate, try the red velvet cupcake. YUUUM. For those of us who try to be healthy, they also have the best tortilla soup and different salads and lavash bread wraps. It's also cool that they have couches where you can sit, chat, and eat.
My friends and I also used to frequent The Coffeehouse on Sunset blvd, across the street from Miyagis, after long study nights. They had an incredible carrot cake and hot chocolate and great grilled cheese sandwiches and garlicy fries (all of which, except for the hot chocolate, seemed to taste even better because we would share them between the three of us). Unfortunately they are now closed and replaced by, *sniff*, some weird place called Wacky Waffles. I am NOT old enough to have my favorite place be closed!! *sniff*
