The same reason 90% of all the crap in this world happens. Israel/Jews. It's ok for Israel to have something like 150 Nukes but when Iran tries to take defensive measures against the cancer that is Israel it is, ofcourse, evil and wrong. It's funny how people forget who put the guys who are in control of Iran in power in the first place, just like people forget who helped Saddam Hussein, and the way people conveniently ignore who helped Ossama Bin Laden against the evil Russians, and it's funny how people choose not to care about who is helping Saudi Arabia right now... and... etc...
Oh and, anyone with half a brain would see that by looking at that map, the missile system they talk about has a range that covers all countries that have US bases. Now, lol, whether that is defensive or offensive depends on whether or not you like/dislike Iran and how much you like/dislike Bush and believe in his Orwellian fear/control crap. Funny how they have highlighted Israel on that map too...
