OK, well. At night I have random dreams. Some good, some just ok and some confusing. Then, comes the same dream that I've seen for a couple of years now. I think I described this dream in the previous dream threads, but anyways, here it is.

Before I have this dream, it's as if I wake up, but still sleepy so I fall asleep. However, when I'm falling asleep, it's as if I get a WARNING, which is me trying to keep my eyes open by blinking a lot and trying to open my eyes really wide so that I wouldn't have this dream. This is also a way I know that I'll have this dream. The dream is me sleeping in my bed and being woken up by the uncontrollable pain all over my body. Then comes something evil and begins to bite my neck or is just around me. I try to pull my covers up so it would stop or I try to fight it off, but I can't move. I am paralyzed in the dream and try to move and scream but I can't. It's probably because during the REM state of sleep you really are immobile and paralyzed. Sometimes when dreaming this dream, I was able to move and hit. For example, once I got up and started fighting this evil male figure that was biting my neck. It started running away from me, but I cought it and ripped off its' teeth, then the evil thing fell off my balcony and I threw away its' teeth. I just don't understand why I get this dream and especially why I get a warning to this dream. Warning being my eyes trying to open wide so that I wouldn't fall asleep and have this dream. I ALWAYS have this before the dream occurs. It's like the beginning of the dream. Today in the morning I woke up, but I was still sleepy. So I tried to relax in my bed and it happened again, so FAST. I could have swore I was awake and was trying to keep my eyes open, but every time I give in and have the dream.

I've looked up some dream interpretations, but they are not making sense to me.
    I see...

I don't know but Carl Jung has said that both guys and girls have victimization dreams. Though they don't necessarily mean anything bad.

Is this the monster that haunts you? It's good to put a face to your enemy that way you have something real to fight.

Caption reads: This was inspired by a story my friend Shelby told one night at a sleepover that kept me up 'till 4:30 in the morning holding a crucifix. I drew this and I find it came out looking like my 'fear' drawing, with a dash of Freddy Kreuger. The watercolor dispersed the 'blood' a little, but I still like how this came out. In the story, this monster killed a little girl named Sadie by giving her a heart attack from seeing him. I have no clue what kind of monster he is.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago i was crashing at a friends house after we had gone clubbing, and i woke up at 5 30 and remembered this dream about how i was at this weird club with some friends, then my parents and my grandma came and i was really happy to see them for some reason, i went up to them nad my dad was all serious, so he took me by the arm and goes where were you guys, he pulls out a newspaper and somehow there is supposedly an article and it tells us somehow that someone was trying to kill me that night. then he calls my friend "kharabakh". lol. i was mad scared, scared shYtless in the dream actually. anyway, after that i went to the bathroom and as im coming out there is a couple hooking up by the door and when i come out the swinging door hits them lightly. the girls starts screaming at me and then i go into the dancefloor and its all flooded and the owner comes out and starts screaming at me because when i swung shut the door i xxxxed up the whole ceiling and the crack spread and i flooded the place. i start screaming at him about how i barely pushed the door. then i woke up and woke up everyone in hte room and annoyed the xxxx outta them by telling them the dream. i think the only reason i remember it is because i told it to someone.

edit:can someone decipther this dream for me?
Yes, you have the potential to cause great change but havn't perfected it yet.

hmmm....I studied a book in class where one of the characters has a similar dream as yours.Like biting of the neck, you not being able to move/fight back, references of evil, it approaching you from behind, the teeth....these are all similar with your dream. Anyway, the character in the story was having that dream cause this guy liked her and she didn't...they guy was kinda evil too. She had things going on around her back and what not.

by the way I wrote an essay on that book and went in a bit more detail with that character's dream. If you want that part of the essay ak me I'll pm it to you.

Actually yes, the sun can represent rebirth. Being represented as the Sun God Ra. The unconsciouss is usually represented as water, lakes, or old people. The sun is actually very important.

Narina, this is a night terror, its very normal. A dream where you are awoken by something "evil" and cant escape and realize that you cant move or scream.

Ive had it two times in my life. In my dream there was a witch in my bedroom.

The only thing that concerns me is that you are having it so often.

And yes, we are paralized during REM to prevent acting things out.
