Anonymouse, realize that the future is already set. Choice, free will, chance, possibility, all these are illusions conjured up by man in order to make himself think that he exists in a reality he has control over, when in fact there is no control as all things have already been determined from the start when the first causal domino was tipped precipitating an almost infinite domino chain of events, the necessarily interconnected effects of which make every future thing a mechanical mathematical certainty.
For example, think about your choice to visit this website. Was it really choice, choice being defined as that act of volition which determines between differing possibilities? If so, then you in fact COULD have chosen NOT to have visited this website. But think about this, how could you have chosen not to visit here when EVERY preceding event leading up to your apparent "choice" to visit here made you in fact visit here? How could you have chosen to take a path that was never set up by the causal factors necessary for setting that path up? The fact is, you never had a real choice because it was in the making long before you even knew this website existed. And logically this is the way it is with all events.

You know it's funny, no one really knows. We like to believe that its all predetermined, but perhaps it really is just choice? I know the Matrix is too much to argue against now since its the top spot in the box office, but you know, opinions go either way and since solid fact on this planet is evanescent, all we are left with are but opinions.Achkerov kute.Comment

That's the beauty of philosophy. Philosophize all you want, but in the end you're all full of xxxx since truth is probably so distant to what we know and it would hurt to know. I guess you can argue that things are predetermined, how the ancients relied on the alignments of the stars and planets to determine the future, or the equinox in such astronomical precision. Mathematics is the universal language here. It is all predetermined. 2+2 = 4. Even before we come to finding it, it exists already. We only discover it. Any invention on this planet is merely the discovery of some hidden law or principle within this nature.
