Negroid, your fear is cold water. Is Warwick Davis the guy who played willow? You dont xxxx around with Willow. He is bad ass, and he has a wand that can kick some ass. Mad Mardigan and those two little guys were my favorite.

I just found out my fear. Its pretty dirty. Being trapped...in any situation. The situation could be political, mental, emotional, or physical. When you are trapped you are disabled, leaving you exposed to the will of forces that you would normally be able to withstand. Being trapped underwater for instance. A cage. Being trapped in a room with fire outside and no windows. It is because you know what will happen in all those circumstances. When you are trapped you know what awaits you.

Public speaking is a walk in the park. Death isnt so bad either, cause I dont know what it is like, so I cant judge it. But being trapped, and knowing you are GOING to die, and there is NOTHING you can do about it, is the nastiest thing. I want death to come to me in my sleep as a 100 year old man.

I think that another one, or maybe even the ultimate one, of humans' greatest fears is loneliness. To be alone...most humans would perceive it to be unbearable...well, NORMAL humans. Human interaction is a part of a healthy lifestyle. Without it, the human mind will break down.

So I guess you could tie in loneliness to death and say that, well, dying alone would suck, really bad.

Lonliness does suck. But to die alone is something we all do. No one "dies with you." You face that on your own. You were born alone, and you will die alone. Do you mean being lonely in life would lead to fear of death? Please clarify.

Superwoman, send me more pics baby. My super powers are peaking!!!

I agree with what you said, but again all that humans strive to do is because of the fear of death. If you study psychoanalytic thought you'll see what I mean, just read anything by Kubler Ross or Ernest Becker's "Denial of Death". They go through a nice thorough argument of why humans fear death the most.

To not be lonely is only a mild way of fighting that fear of death. We all desire distinction and to live past our lives by our deeds or what have you. Of course this is as much a subconscious drive as it conscious. This is where the human "attention xxxxx syndrome" comes in. These are all little things that all merge into the vital lie, mans refusal to acknowledge that he is a finite creature. Becker by far is one of the most unpopular authors, namely because he sets the record straight on our desire to merge with a larger whole, to dedicate our lives to a higher cause, and strive to be heroic or remembered. He gives a grim synopsis of the human condition and it is due to that, that he hasn't gained any fame or notoriety.

                    A highly recommended read.
