  • damn car owners....

Alright, something reaaally pissed me off today, and I just thought I'd vent here.

So, I'm riding my bike down a pretty busy street, when all of a sudden, I hear this crack, and it turns out that the chain thing was stuck somewhere. This happened at an intersection with another busy road. So there I am trying to fix my bike, and not succeeding, because a part of the chain was really stuck in the middle of the wheel or something.

Now, duruing this whooole time, I can safely estimate to 200 the number of cars that passed by. Of them all, not a single one thought about stopping, even while they were waiting at the red light, just looking at me as if i were some sort of circus attraction. I would've minded less if they at least pretended not to see, and turned the other way. But nooooo, they were fully aware of my problem, and just sat there in the car, looking, drinking their McDonalds Coke, and when the light turned green, they zoomed by. Is this really what we have come to? Not a single person had enough time, or humanity, to stop?

Ugh, I don't even want to have my driver's license anymore. Not because I don't like to drive, I just don't want to be another driver.

Sadly, that's what we have come to be. I would have done the same, sorry.

Try driving a car, maybe you'd feel better in our situation. It's really better in my opinion.

You're lucky I wasn't there. I probably would have gotten out, pissed on you, gotten back in, and drove away. Sorry, its just the way i function.

As the other car driver, I would have respectfully honked if I saw you pissing on him, sort of like if you believe in jesus honk.

I mean I would've stopped if I knew how to fix bikes...
but why am I gonna stop if I know I'm not gonna be able to solve the problem...
but if you're cute, I might've stopped, offered you a ride etc... etc... :P 8)

Actually guys and girls, I'd like to snap you back to gruesome reality. There was an actual incident where this sort of thing took place...sad but true.

So this girl (let's call her Bavakan Prchoyan) was coming back from work or whatnot (the details don't really matter) late at night. All of a sudden, she was attacked by a coldblooded murderer armed with a knife. A poke here, a slice there...to make it short, she was being butchered to death. Now the actual process of killing her took about half an hour, during which, her screams of agony were heard all throughout her neighborhood. Lights started flickering on as roughly three dozen of her neighbors witnessed her come closer and closer to death. Not ONE, not even one of these neighbors had the balls to help. To make matters even worse, none of them even called the police. So you see my friends, it's a proven fact...the more people there are witnessing your little ordeal, whether it be fixing your broken bike or being slaughtered to death, the less likely it is that you will get help...little fact that I thought you should know.

OK, being the science freak that I am, I'm going to correct myself that I shouldn't have said it was a fact, since nothing in this life is certain. But studies have been done, and this has been the outcome over and over again.

Well do you want to go put yourself between someone with a knife and a perfect stranger? How often do we stumble on that kind of bravery? But, you have a point about the police thing. Why a xxxxer cant pick up a damn phone and dial three numbers is incredible to me. The stupidity of the average person astounds me sometimes.
