He just can't admit that he doesn't know, so he keeps talking about nothing to avoid having to answer the question. He doesn't like to go to the Dr, poor kid.
I seriously doubt that if your jaw joints chronically hurt there is anything behind it besides TMJ. Just so you know, its not a rare condition, so it is quite likely. I would get it checked, it gets worse without treatment.
You are in a very big city and I am sure you guys can get any sort of specialist you need. It is a challange for me to find a TMJ specialist, compare where I live to LA.
