Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum.     Yerevan a Turkish city... WHAT?

    Whether to post it here, or in "Jokes & Humor"... THAT is the question!
    From Turkish Weekly (duuuh ):

    'All Turkish and Muslim Monuments Destroyed in Yerevan’

    Dr. Erol Kurkcuoglu from Erzurum Ataturk University said that the Armenians had destroyed the Turkish and Muslim heritage in Armenia. “Once Yerevan was a Turkish city” Kurkcuoglu added.

    Kurkcuoglu said “the name of the city was Revan until the 19th century. Gok, Kopru Kulagi, Tepebasi Mescits and Serdar Castle were destroyed by the Armenians. They destroyed all Turkish and Muslim traces in Armenia. 83 percent of Yerevan was Turkish during the 19th century, however the share decreased to 4.3 after the First World War”.

    There is almost no Muslim or Turkish population in Armenia right now. More than 1 million Turkish people became refugee after the Karabakh Occupation. 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories have been under Armenian population for a decade.

    Okay, I know Yerevan was part of the Persian Empire some 400 years ago... but was it ever Turkish ? NO....

    83% of its population was Turkish during the 19th century? As far as I know, Yerevan was never part of the Ottoman Empire and always had a predominantly Armenian population.

    Ohhh and here comes the best part... "More than 1 million Turkish people became refugees after the Karabakh Occupation" WHAT? Karabagh had a pre-war population of approximately 200,000 people, 75% of whom were Armenian... So where did the 1 million come from?

    Who knows... we can even end up compensating Yerevan for the "Turkish genocide". Mwahahaha

      Even if Yerevan was once occupied by the Turks that isnt making it a Turkish city.This person is called Doctor.If Turkish Doctors are as smart as him , then we have nothing to worry about.
      Regarding the Garabakh issue the doctor is calling ethnic Azeris , as Turks.They were not deported from Garabakh.Armenians were the total majority in Garabakh.He is probably talking about the Azeris which run away from some Azeri parts which were not even part of Garabakh and they are now under Armenian control.Either way all these lands are Armenian , no Kurd or Turk will have them, as long as we are Armenians and we teach our kids to be Armenians.

      Practicaly this is the Map of Armenia today and the place which we control

                    The Ottoman Empire captured Yerevan from the Persian Empire in 1582, but it was recaptured by the Persians in 1604. There was another Turkish siege in 1615, but they did not capture it. After another invasion, they held it again briefly after 1635.

                    During the numerous invasions of Eastern Armenia by the Turks, they carried off tens of thousands of Armenians as slaves and caused hundreds of thousands of others to flee as refugees.

                    "Yerevan" was the name of a province as well as the name of a town. That province stretched all the way to Julfa, in todays Nakhchivan. As a result of genocidal policies of the Muslims, especially Turks, against Christians, about 80% of the population of Yerevan province was Muslim by the end of the 18th century. Muslim does not mean Turk of course, and the vast majority were not Turkish.
