If i was the BB and the loose player raises me, im coming right back at him with a raise..

of course there are exceptions.... chipstacks.. bet sizes.... but generally speaking... A-7 heads up.... ide raise with.... and if a loose player raised my BB, you HAVE to protect your BB.... that's just a given.

Siggie was not talking about heads up play from the beginning. This is an actual 9 to 10 person table. She meant heads up after all the folds from the others.

        hey omni....
im lookin to advance from online to live play tournaments.
The only live tourny i've played was @ the Harrahs back in March. Out of a field of 1500 with 500 rebuys, i finished in the money, which isn't what i was hoping for, but i'll take it for my first live. (AA taken by KQ because of my own greed to not raise too much pre-flop on the button.)

Where do you reconnmend me to get some low buy in live experience?
Im from glendale like you, and im lookin @ the daily tournament schedules @ the local casinos, (hollywoodpark, commerce, bicycle club, etc.)

Where should i go so i dont get raped but will still learn a lot playing at?
Preferibly tuesdays and thursdays morning if possible =]

I don't play ring, nor will i ever go near a ring table.....
        Tourny only...
hold em limit or no limit
        omaha & hi/lo
7 stud im still brushing up on, but ill play it.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't come on here much anymore, except for this thread or something with self interest. Anyway, you answered your own questions. You won't get raped anywhere you play since you are playing low buy-in. All the pros/rounders/grinders/daily players play the 300 dollar and up buy-ins. So you don't have to worry about getting killed and it is a low buy-in so if you lose it isn't a big deal anyway since it wasn't that much money to begin with. Honestly, if you play multi table tourneys online it is almost the same thing with only slight differences which I can explain if you need me to. You sound like a fairly knowledgable player so you'll do fine. Experience is practice and vice versa. All the casinos you mentioned have daily low buy in tournaments especially Tuesdays and Thursdays. Just go to the Bike or Commerce, or just call them and ask, you can even go to their web sites. If I have time I'll post the daily schedule here, gotta go for now.
