Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Life isn't what it seems to be

Who can really tell me what life is all about?
Who had really contemplated about the true meaning of our existance? Well I have, but hadn't reached into a conclusion.....
As the days pass by, I feel more and more disappointed not reaching into an understanding of my real purpose in life.
I see people around me go by their daily activities, do they realyze that life is not about achievements or losses, nor about success or disappointments.
There should be a bigger picture, that we are all missing it.......

Don't worry you're not the only one. There is no point to life and everyone just dies in the end. So stop worrying as nothing you do really matters

All the "big pictures" that people invent are just that ... inventions of overactive minds to try to give meanings to their existance. The only reasonable "big picture" so far has been to procreate and live life for the sake of life itself ... and I personally don't consider that much of a big picture.
    this post = teh win.

The issue of life is made too complex, because the human mind is taught to use reasoning, and our philosophies are greatly valued by the society we live in.

I have renunciated all this garbage, because it makes me forget my soul, forget my individuality, and makes me become too concerned with the outside world, and society.

The purpose of life as you know it, is to make contributions to mankind in the big picture, and to die, raped of your utility, only to live a lie, called achievement... You do not gain the reward of immortality in the end, you die, and your legacy will die soon too.

I say, forget the purpose of life. Yes, use reasoning, as society demands it, but use your reasoning so you survive in this world, not to add more problems to it that you did not forsee.

Sounds pretty bleak eh? Not to me, because I live for others. I live for my loved ones, I live for those who offer me their companionship in this life I'm am to live. I will help them survive, and help them feel happy. I feel happy with this life. Yes, I recognize (if I force myself to waste my energy on this thought)I am so insignificant in the big picture to mankind, but why should I care? Why should I spend so much energy worrying about my position in this entity of mankind that is so foolish, so corrupt, so self destructive?

I don't want answers, and I won't bother to raise questions. My eyes are not so weak to not see what really matters: survival and happiness. A natural and happy death is the gift of a job well done on the part of vitality and happiness during life.

Experiance. Learning as much as we can about all aspects in life from love to family to education to friendships. Pains, anger, happiness, laughter. Leaving our mark even for the smallest reason like making someone laugh in a way they will always remember. And carrying that with us when we move on after we die.

You guys are maybe be right, each reaply posted above has a certain point of view, but all I'm saying is that once your dead your dead,vanished..... Even your loved ones that will remember you, will also die , your memory, your impact on them will disappear, and the same thing goes vice versa....... I'm not looking for immortality god forbid, thats the last thing that i'm looking for, All i'm saying that a human being's impact on a fellow being is short lived, once both are dead, its gone for eternety...... I know the subject that I'm talking about goes under the category of "metaphysique" and that there is no rational explanation to it, just diffrent point of views. Anyways I just wanted to share the Idea with you guys.

Nothing in the affairs of humans is of great significance. It is us who give value to our insignificance.
