Is anyone still concerned with buying legitimate music CD's? All I hear about from people is mp3's and file swapping and burned CD's. If I know that the music of a band is worth being in my collection, I'll go and buy the CD. Otherwise, it's just not in my collection. I need to have the actual CD, the artwork, the liner notes... if I happen to have burned music or mp3's I don't view it as owning the music and I'll throw it away after a while or go and buy the friggin' CD. I'm a collector. I can't help it. And I also feel guilty if I'm not paying the artists for their work, however wealthy some may be. And I like going into a record store knowing I'm going to spend a certain amount of money and running through the isles. Good stuff. And not much compares to the feeling of walking out of the store with that bag.

That sounds excellent. I don't have any analog. For the moment, CD's are good enough for me. I only have about three hundred and fifty or so leaving so very many things I want. At this point, it just wouldn't be reasonable for me to worry about anything other than getting the CD's of the music I want to own and listen to. But I do have a Genesis album on vinyl that was purchased in the 70's. It's the first in what will be my future collection of progressive vinyl.

I also have PG's "Security" and "Scratch" but that's it. I don't know which album it is that I have on vinyl because it's something that either my mother or father ended up with in one of their collections without knowing how. It's still in plastic!
I've seen the Gentle Giant remasters (Amazon) with good write ups....tempting. I have all on CD (Euro of one sort or another) - but the remastered quality would be nice...I may bite on Power and the Glory and A/B it with the one I have...always looking for better quality takes...just as with live/bootlegs!
