  • My Unfortunate Luck With Jobs

I have the worst luck when it comes to finding a job.

The only job I've had was in my fathers contracting company as a supervisor, if I don't include my extra work in TV shows as a freshman in High School.

So why do I have the worst luck?

I've applied to every store in the Glendale Galleria, twice. Some stores, I've applied 5+ times. I've never received a single callback. And don't think I just sit at home. I always go back, re-apply, ask what's going on - nope, never gotten a callback.

Recently, I met with the manager of a printing firm in North Hollywood. Never called me back. I had an interview at Abercrombie in Sherman Oaks, an interview which I got through my cousin who works there. Never called me back. My cousin asked his manager why they never called me and the manager said the reason was because I had a beard at the time of the interview. She wanted me to shave and see her again. So I did. Never called me back. I had an interview for Bank of America. They told me they'd call me even if I wasn't hired. Never called me back. It's been 2-3 weeks. I e-mailed the recruiter. Never answered me back. I had a meeting with the manager of a Big 5 in Northridge. Never called me back.

Nobody ever calls back! They say, "We'll call you back regardless if you want you or not." STICK TO YOUR WORD!!

Yup. No one wants me. I present myself nicely, I'm always on time, dressed appropriate - I look appropriate. So why is it that no one wants me? My hours are better than everyone else at the interview. I speak clearer, I act nicer - (when it's a group interview).

Well, I just met with the manager for RadioShack and he asked me a few questions, and I could tell he liked me. Either that or he really needed to hire somebody - lol.

He told me to hold on and he went into his office and returned about 30 minutes later, lol. What a wait.. Anyway, he wants me to go down to Van Nuys for an interview, but he gave me a letter to show them, and the letter says he's interested in me and he wants them to process my paperwork.

But he said I'd have to work in the stock room for now since there are no sales positions open.

Oh well, we'll see. Hopefully this one will break the curse!

Because you're good for only one job - professional whining.

I'm not whining. I'm trying to see what's wrong with people.

What's wrong with you anyway - lol.

            Stop following me around.

sweetie no one hates you, thats how the process works (you have to go through allot of interviews). Although pretty surprised at no call backs at all? can you go through an agency? at least they can chase these people up or something.

I know, but it looks like I might get this job at Bank of America.

I finally got in contact with them, and I'm gonna go see the manager for the one in Montrose on Monday. The manager I'm gonna see is my sisters ex-manager and they're friends, so she'll most likely hire me.
