Does Anybody Think The Overdue Cali Earthquake Is Almost Here?

I forgot when it was, but people kept talking about the overdue California earthquake. Apparently, it hits every couple of years, and it's been really overdue. They said it normally hits in June, I think. I honestly forgot all the details.

Anyway, they said it might be this year, and that it would be huge. And for the past month or so, after midnight, birds have been suddenly chirping here. You know how they chirp and sing in the early morning? Well, they've been doing it at around 3am. Very strange. Everyone I know has heard it at that time.

People say it's because the earthquake is coming. What do you guys think? I think it's like one of those things, when a dog barks just before an earthquake. Or whatever it was. So, who's scared?

lets hope it doesn't happen for everyones sake, not just because Im going to be there in June

I think one of the most dangerous time in terms of a seismic window for CA this year was between March 26-April 02.

Animals are much more aware of major earth changes—they are in tune with the rhythms of nature. Humans have that ability, too. But people have forgot that knowledge. Before earthquakes, often animals behave strangely. I think humane societies in the US get inundated with animals that flip out and run away. Most wildlife excaped the tsunami in Indonesia because they sensed it coming and fled for higher ground. Some indigenous tribes also lost no members.

I do strongly suspect that the US will get hit with more catastrophic hurricanes this year (the storms that reach the East coast won’t be nearly as strong as the gulf storms—due to human-caused global warming). (If Houston gets hit major oil production would be quickly altered.)

[Edit: The major damage from Katrina was not done by nature. The damage was from environmental racism/classism (and I was screaming at the Bush administration before anyone even mentioned that on news. I was VERY loudly telling FEMA to get people out and the Corp of Engineers in...Meanwhile, the ADMINISTRATION KNEW DAMN WELL that the levies (that they cut funding for) would likely go unless they acted immediately... Kanye spoke truth, in my opinion. Nature wasn't really to blame. But more rant on that somewhere later.]

When megalopolis cities are built on top of major fault lines, those cities WILL experience major earthquakes. The same holds for people building homes in San Francisco hills VERY prone to landslides; or people who build in the chaparral hills (ecologically must burn to regenerate) of southern California http://www.radford.edu/~swoodwar/CLA...dit/medit.html
The natural wetlands that once protected the Louisiana coast (and the people who lived there) from surge and hurricanes have been almost entirely been drained for oil and real estate.

People wonder why ‘god/nature’ did this to them (wildfire/earthquake/hurricane or any other natural even that has always happened), but don’t realize the bigger problem.

This isn’t an exact analogy, but there is an ‘old Indian’ man telling a story (in a movie) about a person who found a rattlesnake and captured the snake for a pet, fed, and cared for it. Then, one day, the snake bit the person.
The victim asked, “Why would you do this to me?”

The snake replied, “Look, you knew I was a snake when you chose to pick me up and capture me.”

Maybe we (as humanity) shouldn't do things that go against all that is natural logic? These things might seem fine to each that does, but these poor choices will come back to bite in the butt... so to speak.

It doesn't really phase me at all. But maybe if we can get the government to set up permanent base camps and monitoring stations around the city every 15 blocks and check points and rationing for the populace we will all be safe!

Haha. I think I care more for gas than this earthquake. Gas prices are seriously getting insane. I can't believe we can't do anything about it, and pay for it anyway. Earthquakes scare me, though. Expensive gas scares me more, I guess.

WILL this happen? Yes, One-way. There WILL be a major earthquake that will mostly level a major CA city. What I can't say right now is the when part.
