Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Re: Who is going to E3?
You gonna fly me out Tom?
I would really really like to go but alas I will be merely watching the coverage on G4, IGN and to some extent Cnet. Just watched the unveiling for the PS3 controller. They totally bit Nintendo’s motion controller idea. I mean it still looks exactly like the PS2 controller but it has motion sensors hooked up via Bluetooth that let you control content by actually moving the controller.
Anyhoo I also saw an add for the new Shadowrun game coming to the PC platform. I am a total Shadowrun junkie so that got me pretty hyped up.
I think the Xbox 360 is for suckas. Poor poor Microsoft and their failed early launch strategy. I mean if you think about the numbers alone PS2 sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 million units in the US and the Xbox, granted it came into the fray way late, only sold like 14million. Now when you consider that the Sony consoles have always been hella backwards compatible and that in order for the 360 to be backwards compatible you HAVE to buy the hard drive pfffftttt LOSERS!! Not to mention all of their games can be played BETTER on a PC. It's a "no brainer" to me they tried to make the PC platform a console platform and imo the idea is hella weak. I'd rather play GR:Advanced Warfighter, or whatever, and the new Elder Scrolls on the PC WAAYY before the 360 pffffffttttt again. I dunno maybe Anon will agree with me here although I know he no likie consoles...at all.
Well for all you Cali cats have fun if you go and post some pictures of anything you find that really makes you go "WHOA!!!"

There are so many studies coming out showing the beneficial nature of playing video games in regards to mental acuity, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination that this myth that video games are somehow bad for our health and society is total rubbish. On either 60mins or Frontline they recently interviewed this laparoscopic surgeon who was an avid gamer. He created his own study that showed how video games and skills as a laparoscopic surgeon are correlated. His study has shown that ppl with ANY videogame background, even if it was years ago, are 40% more accurate than there non-videogame playing counterparts. During the bit he brought in a gamer who had never used Laparoscopic surgery tools before and gave home a typical drill using said tools. This dude scored in the top 99 percentile for the task!!!!! That's crazy ... anyway sorry for going slightly off topic but I mean how much depth is there really to an E3 thread ... I add flava baby!
Just to finish up going along with this trend is Nintendo with their new Brain Age "game", it's really more of a brain booster title designed to slowly lower your "Brain Age" and overall make you sharper on a mental acuity tip. It's already been proven that playing games and puzzles can slow down the onset of certain types of dementia and Alzheimer’s. Well the Brain Age also has a version of Soduko, which, although really taken to by the Japanese, was created by some white dude in Indiana or Illinois in the 70's lol
Oh does Ani still have dreads? Cuz if so that's so funny it hurts. Don't get me wrong I have friends with dreads and I'm like "???????" ... if it's just coming from a dread nappy hair place cool ... if it refers to being a Rasta and your white, go Wiki the Rastafarian religion.**sighs** Racism sux

Re: Who is going to E3?
I think you are thinking too shallow... about what I'm saying.
I don't think 'Ani' is against gaming. I've played them many times. However, video games can be dangerous if people opt out of biophysical reality for the electronic game. Kids need to be outside and running around, too. My game (which I can't really take full credit for--"my" means all that helped and still do) permits playing, and running around outside, and expanding the mind, and learning new things, creating peace, and protecting the Earth--all at the same time... I love this game.
When/how will change (or 'haircuts' happen)?Last edited by Anahita; 05-10-2006, 04:58 PM.
