Ironically enough, there are all sorts of incidents of people killing each other, blowing up abortion clinics, invading other countries, etc etc in the name of God. When was the last time someone committed a crime in the name of atheism?
As far as evolution, I would direct anyone who "believes" evolution is a joke, to check out the IMAX "Deep Sea 3D" feature if you have a chance. I just recently saw it and WOW is it an eye opening experience. It is amazing how everything tends to adapt to each other when thrown in a mix to coexist in nature. I think believing in God created evolution makes faaaaaar more sense than believing God would be stupid enough to make EVERYTHING from scratch and get it to work the way it does.
A stupid God would have wasted all his time making everything. A superior God would have come up with evolution and just let life take care of itself and adapt to changing conditions. To argue for "creationism" instead of "evolution" is to argue for a dumb ass God since adaptability is a superior trait compared to creatures that remain static in a changing world.
