what in the world is the point of a curfew...
it's like if i'm gonna be sleeping around... I could do it during the day too...
I got home at 1:35 am last night...
my mom is SOO mad at me.. it sux
and it doesn't happen that often...
it's probably once every week that I come home after 12...
and I'm just out with friends.. having fun...
they don't understand the fact that I'D RATHER SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE MY AGE...
I hate it when my mom gets all pissed off for days cuz I've done NOTHING wrong...
last night she said that if I'm gonna keep coming home after 12 (and I'm not a teenager) she wants me to move out :?
    great...
what do you guys have to say?
and don't tell me to listen to her, cuz there's no way I can make promises I know I'm not gonna keep!
    12 is too freakin early!!!

I would just say to not argue back, parents get anal sometimes I think it mainly has to do with them feeling as if they are losing control over you, and by placing restriction on you as ridiculous as they may be) they feel as tho they are regaining some control. So just don’t say anything & ride out the wave…trust me talking from experience that’s the best solution to the little prob u have until your able to move out. gluck

Move out of the house. It is so great. No curfew, no nothing, i dont need to explain myself to anyone. I get in at 2, and wake up at 11. I am very far away from home though, so sometimes I miss them . But, its sick. Try it.

Why dont you try rewinding all your clocks in your house?

Make sure to get your hands on your parents cell phones and watches and rewind those too before you go out. Be careful!

May the force be with you.

J, I have the same problem...no need to elaborate on that.

Of all the advice that was given, Gorsy's makes the most sense to me - and I'm pretty sure it'll work (unless your mom's a total control freak).

Hahaha, and I think Amouse is suggesting that your parents live in a box, with no contact to the outside world.

This might not work in your family, but i know about 3 families, where this has been the case.

Ever since my sister was like 18, and she wanted to go out, she would make a huge fuss about it. She wouldn't accept a "no" answer, and if it meant having to fight for her right to go out for hours and hours, she would do it. Basically, she would be stubborn and she'd fight until they gave up. Now she's 25, and they don't even ask anymore.

Now me, i give up easily. I just agree with everything they say. That means, i'm 23 now, and in the same situation you're in. although i have no curfew, i never feel like answering a million questions before going out.

But all in all, we're armenian girls, and if we don't act like my sister, our parents will always be strict about us going out. That's just seems like an unwritten law.

no i dont quite agree w/ u miss char ( altho i luv ur name) my mom used to be strict in the beginning but now she has relaxed. although she does get angry at the random walk ins at 4 or so, but as long as she feels she is still in control, trusts me, and sees that im doin nothing wrong shes fine

just give it time j...trust me
