  • Re: What is your dream job?

On topic, my dream job would be involving international politics with Armenia. Being delegate or diplomat advancing my country's interests in the world (esp Europe/Middle East)

I think it's so interesting that people are framing this in terms of a single dream job. After all, aren't we all much more than our jobs? And even if someone does make their career their life's purpose, I think that it's always about more than that one particular job (in any case, it is for me)--it's about the broader career path, the trajectory we want to pursue, everything we want to accomplish in our professional lives, everything we can give and are willing to give of our talents, experience and education to each reach the pinnacle of our chosen profession.... No job should be just a job, otherwise it's not worth doing. For me the question would resonate better if it involved my life's work, not just my "dream job".

              Thoughts?

I would like to have a career like Thomas de Waal (only without occasional anti-Armenian rhetoric of course)

Especially the one in Moscow - that building looks great, I guess it's our biggest embassy?

I didn't know anything about him 'till you posted this and I had to look him up. Thanks! Have you read his book about the war? Sounds like it might be an interesting--though upsetting--read...
