What you call "insulting" is my version of negative reinforcement toward MrLeftHye's nonsense. I'm hoping one day, he takes the hint and acts with the decorum conducive to something that resembles thoughtful discussion.

With that said, why should the members of this forum suffer from the banality of MrLeftHye's post? In short, his presence is distracting. In fact, his posts are quite uniformed and many times just plain dumb.

Anyway, you're new here. Maybe you should gain some clout here before you make such pontificating requests of me.
Come on now...You have a problem with him use PM, talk to admins, etc

The important thing is that Commodore 64 has been brought up. Let's take a moment to remember and admire this greatness:

MrLeftyHye is pretty bad though. I mean, he'll reply to threads on subjects which he knows nothing about (like me, but worse). What's strange is that he's always so benevolently supportive. If someone started a thread reading "Volunteer needed to give MrLeftyHye a Colombian necktie, inquire within," he'd reply and offer some sort of encouragement like "Oh ya Goodluck guys, sounds like a great project, Let Me know if You need Any help. "

              Re: I'm Thinking.

The main caveat if you want a "solid" performing system that you put together yourself is to go with good quality parts. Most importantly, you want a good solid motherboard (chipset) and RAM combination. The CPUs are usually all good when you go with Intel or AMD so that's not a main worry ... but man are there some CRAPPY motherboards, chipsets, and memory out there.

As a rule of thumb, Corsair has always been an absolute champ in my book ... There have been cases where I've tried several DRAM modules even some made by Kingston for example but everytime I have tried Corsair, I have had 0 troubles. You will pay extra for it though ... no doubt.

In other words, you either have to know what you are doing, be ready to read a lot before you buy, or be ready to do a lot of experimentation and tinkering to get chit to work right ... a lot of problems aren't necessarily apparent right away either (e.g. cooling problems, clock instability, or power not being adequate when the system is hot and under heavy load).

Done both...but it didn't work. The dumbing down continues at record pace. Now what? Any suggestions (and don't say "just ignore him". That's not an option due to MrLeftyHye's ubiquity)?
