  • Question

Here is something maybe some of you will respond to (at least i hope you will, or else all I have is a conversation with myself pretty much, and I am tired of those already ).... this may sound like one of those annoying questions they ask at interviews, but in case you'd like to tell -
What has been the most catastrophic event, the most trying state you have endured, the time when you feel cornered, pushed to the limit and could almost feel your defenses cracking but there was just one way to go-- forward. What do you think is the best source of motivation, strength in such a situation?

      the REAL moral is?

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered
up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They each
grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to
everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the
farmer looked down the well, and was astonished at what he saw.

As every shovel of dirt hit his back, the donkey did something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors
continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and
      take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed, as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off.

      The Moral:
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells
just by not stopping, never giving up!

The donkey later came back, caught the farmer out in the field and
kicked the xxxx out of him. Then he went over to each of his neighbors
farms and kicked the xxxx out of them too for helping.

      The REAL Moral:
When you try to cover your ass, it always comes back to get you.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; the world is full of unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

        The rest is irrelevant

Well, on August 14th I believe, I realized that I had to LEAVE Armenia. That was pretty trying. Motivation? Knowing that I'll go back soon.

Don't mind me, I'm having another Armenia craving today...

I loved it there when I went to Armenia too. You're right, not quite on the subject, but right anyway. I want to go back there as soon as I can. I think my next visit will be with one of those 'rebuild Armenia' groups, since I have done the tourist-y visit already. I think someday I should like to live there part-time or at least have a home there I can call home, you know?

Side Note: Hey Baron I was born on Canada. Alberta, actually. And a large chunk of my family lives in Montreal (Quebec is in Montral, right?) errr, yeah. It seems kids from there are light years ahead in maturity. i applaud you for that. haha I talk like i am so old. hehe.

Don't you know that Einstein said "Talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence. Answering yourself, however, is a sign of insanity."

Well it seems the only thing Einstein was good for was his quotes anyway, such as "Our technology has surpassed our humanity".

He should have been a philosophy major, since even the famed e=mc2 is something not of his idea which he stole from earlier scientists such as Poncaire and Olinto de Pretto.

:P I like einstein's theory of relativity: "Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, feels like an hour. Talk to a pretty girl for an hour, feels like a minute. Now that's relativity!"
