    Hi everyone.. I am not Armenian myself but I have always been interested in Armenian culture and traditions and thought I could learn more about that here. I'm actually Portuguese-American. I hope to engage in some interesting discussions here.

          Welcome to the forum cmariee. Can you speak Portuguese? Were you born in Portugal? On a scale of 1 to 10, how do you rate your success at maintaining your Portuguese culture in an American melting pot?

            I can understand Portuguese but I can't speak it fluently.. it depends on the dialect though.. I don't understand so much of Brazilian Portuguese especially that from northeast Brazil i.e. Bahia. I was born in the US but my parents have done well with preserving our roots and I grew up eating a lot of traditional foods.
