How to avoid revealing your name without seeming "unfriendly??" or "asocial??"
Sometimes, at Starbucks, the cashier asks for my name (the purpose being to identify the drink.)
At times, I reply: "How about U?"
Of course, the cashier understands it as "How about you?" and tells me his/her name!
With a smile, I explain that I meant the initial "U" and that I'm looking forward to hearing: "A <drink-name> for U."
At times, I reply: "Y!" (and make sure my facial expressions seem "interrogative!")
Of course, the cashier understands it as "Why?" and gives me an explanation.
With a smile, I apologize and I explain that I meant the initial "Y."
At times, ...
Any other letters?
PS. I believe that the above tells enough about me!!! After all, a good introduction!
