Despite the fact that I come from the thrid biggest city in Wisconsin, there was still only three Armenians (including me) at my high school. I was aslo raised to be Catholic by my Irish mother, so I really don't know much about how others see us (I mean, those who actually know what an Armenian is). Can someone please explain what the stereo types are, and where they come from?
P.S. my father died when I wa a little girl, so my connection to the Armenian world was pretty much destoryed. I'm trying to make up for lost time or whatever.

There are lots of Armenian's here in LA. If you live in Glendale you'll feel like you are living in Hyastan!I love that and am very proud to be a hye!
We are all mixed here, Armenians from Iran, from Armenia, from Lebanon, Turkey, Russia, Armenians born here! It’s a good mix and we get to learn a lot from each other, different Armenian language, different foods etc... !

So what is an Armenian?
PS. It probably depends on where you live. Even in the US, I have seldom met Americans who have never known Armenians!Last edited by Siamanto; 06-28-2005, 04:59 PM.What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.
