Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Zeitgeist Addendum

This is the sequel you might say of the original Zeitgeist, it was released on the internet on October 4th, 2008.

The content this time investigates the question of where our money is coming from, this time in far greater detail than the original.

    Topics of discussion include:

    - How a fractional reserve system works
    - The role of interest on loans when those loans are created artificially by banks
    - The role of international institutions like IMF and World Bank for building empires through finance

Next, we find an investigation on so called "human nature". A key statement in its introduction is that all the corruption and general lack of ethical consideration we find in our institutions and in our commerce at large are not the causes of the problem, but its symptoms. The true problem is the monetary system itself. I found it very interesting the way they explained it and I'll leave it to you to view this yourself.

They soon propose an alternative to the monetary system, called the Venus Project, which is a resource-based society which strives to eliminate scarcity of resources, and thus competition over them, effectively pacifying our living conditions.

The Venus Project places a high premium on:

    - Education
    - Elimination of factional thinking
    - Realizing and opening up the benefits of a technologically driven tradition to all of humanity

At the end, the documentary tries to unify all the topics it had covered and provide us with a solid basis for appreciating the essentials for life. It contrasts a great degree to what amount of happiness the confines of a monetary-driven society, with all its institutions and commerce based on scarcity and competition could allow for.

I hope you enjoy it and I encourage participation for discussion.

Without having watched the video, this all sounds a bit like what the nwo would like to see occur. Universal education so as to indoctrinate the youth, elimination of ethnic and racial identity and transhumanism. I will try to watch the video soon.

in essence, the Venus Project is a nwo, though it is not driven by any state structure or elite ruling class. What came to mind for me is what Evola would have deemed as the fourth level of the degeneration of elitism where true collectivist leadership is the orienting force for the masses. At present, he'd classify us as still being at the third level, one where we are ruled by an oligarchy of plutocratic and capitalistic nature.

      Anyway....

This "education" isn't discussed as one being about indoctrinating anybody, but as one that serves as a free, accessible platform for all humans to assimilate technical skills, learn philosophy and generally expand their learning beyond the present model of state-sponsored education (training you for a specialized task and shipping you off to the labour force). It wants you to become a well rounded thinker able to acquire whatever skills you desire to build whatever you're interested in.

I have my own thoughts on what would be the more realistic outcome of all this, but I'll wait till you watch it.

I was under the impression that there was a video that was released which purported to refute the claims of the first Zeitgeist.

Am I wrong? If so, can you shed light on this? I greatly enjoyed the first one as it confirmed and pointed out all the things that I had mostly already known or read, and some new information.

        Let me know.

You should be able to pull it up on googlevideo if you search for "anti zeitgeist"

So there is a rebuttal to Zeitgeist.

My next question is then, why did they not address the rebuttal before making another installment? That seems pretty shoddy.

              Re: Zeitgeist Addendum

Having watched the second one, I can answer that the maker of Zeitgeist probably didn't feel the need to answer back to the rebuttal, they chose to address the religion issue to a far lesser degree (almost minute degree actually) though he maintained about twice in the movie, very briefly, a prejudice towards it as an institution and how masses of not so bright people depend on it to keep a closed view in the name of God or something of the like.

I think the maker noted that he stood on shaky ground when it came to proving his detailed dismissal of Christianity as a clone religion of other, more ancient solar messiah cults, which was the chief source of all rebuttals, if not the only one, towards Zeitgeist.

                Re: Zeitgeist Addendum

Once again, very well done. It was a very good idea to lay off religion bashing somewhat because the approach had turned off a large segment of the viewers right from the start. Thus, it was counterproductive to the intention of the documentary itself. I also noticed a factual flaw. British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook did not make the statement - "The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the 'devil' only in order to drive the 'TV watcher' to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US and the lobbyists for the US war on terrorism are only interested in making money." This comment was made by the former French military intelligence agent Pierre-Henry Bunel. Robin Cook had stated in an article to the British paper Guardian - "Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians. Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences, it never appears to have occurred to Washington that once Russia was out of the way, Bin Laden's organisation would turn its attention to the west."

Thanks Armenian, perhaps you can e-mail the producer of Zeitgeist about this, he has edited his film in the past after its initial release.

By the way, I heard that this film would've been available for video rental in places like Blockbuster if it weren't for the highly controversial advice on what you can do to help the movement at the end of the movie :P

I have to disagree with this portion as it sound socialistic.

We cannot eliminate a world of scarcity. As long as there are human actors which value subjective things, we can never eliminate the problem of scarcity.
