Sleuth, according to http://www.kokopelli.org.uk/maritime/aiva2.html there is no ninth wave painting. The 10th wave is also called the 9th wave.

        • I love this one by Yves Tanguy.

          • Yves Tanguy is boring to me. He never developed during his career. Instead he did the same stuff for years and years and though some of it is aesthetically pleasant, it fails to stimulate my intellect.

I tried to find one of Tanguy's paintings that I like aesthetically but could not. This is the closest...

            • You are right, aesthetically pleasing, but it’s the variation in art that is so essential isn’t it? I am going to probably hurt your feelings as well as Anon’s, but Rembrandt doesn’t move me, nor does he have that aesthetic appeal to me, but then again I am not an artist. I am more moved by the depth and harmony of colors, geometric shapes and the non-conventional human forms.

One of my favorites by Edward Hopper
