Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

These people have won so many arguments, just look at the UN resolutions condeming isreali settlements, violence, ...... The problem is that they lack power. The UN is controlled by money (a form of power) like everything else. The palastinians have no way to win. The UN allows war, robery, ethnic cleansing, deportation, blockade and all sorts of other abuses by Israel yet it attacks Iraq for taking control of one of its former provinces. The injustice is plainly there for all to see and only those who have the power can decide to change things. The palastinians are in a no win situation no matter what they do thus it has nothing to do with knowing how to win or lose. I get the feeling that you think anyone who disagrees with the zionist is prejidice but this is not true at all as a matter of fact zionism itself is a prejidice and racist concept. You argue against nationalism yet you defend zionism which is a perverted form of nationalismbased on racism. Contradicting yourself destroys the validity of your arguments. I realise that it is difficult to be open minded and fair and that we are all full of prejiudice but if you can seperate facts from fiction you will be on your way.

They have the power to do so because others allow them to do so in blind support. I may have been born a gentile slave but I'm determined to cut the ball and chain using the tools that I've been given... my teeth are for chewing. Sermons and speeches on truth and justice will get you attention. Attention will get you followers. Armenians ought to know that by now better than anyone else.

I ciuldnt agree with you more there. I just wanted to point out that you made it sound like the palastinians were doing something wrong when in reality it matters not what they do.

          SCHOOLS OF PHILOSOPHY
          *********************************
Speaking of the superficiality of the Byzantine Empire, Zarian remarks somewhere: “Not a single school of philosophy.” By contrast, America may be said to be bursting at the seams with schools of philosophy.
The first time I heard someone say, “Live and let live, that's my philosophy,” I thought he was being funny. It took me a while to realize that he was dead serious. If a cliché can be a philosophy, any moron can parade as a philosopher. Which reminds me of the fact that after the Americans liberated Greece and GIs were seen everywhere in Athens, a new phrase entered the Greek language: “Do you take me for an American?” Meaning, “Do you take me for a moron?”
          *
It must be just about the oldest trick in the world. You want to fool someone? Convince him he is so smart than no one can fool him.
You want to convince an entire race of men to behave like unspeakable barbarians? Convince them into believing they belong to a superior race.
That's why “Life is a xxxxx,” “Sh*t happens,” and “There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.” That is always why “There are more sorrows on earth than there are stars in heaven.” (Apik Avakian)
          *
Closer to home: Do you need a class of men to behave like neo-Stalinist crypto-commissars? Brainwash a bunch of bullies into thinking they have leadership qualities. That is also why our political leaders are no better than the scum of the earth.

it matters only in so far as they refuse to come to terms with reality and to accept their status as losers, which is what countless other people have done. if everyone behaved like Palestinians, we would have no peace on earth. war would be a constant condition and bullies who are no better than the scum of the earth would continue to parade as heroic leaders.

I don't think it is fair to expect anyone to accept a "loser" status. The palastinians are simply unwilling to roll-over and die like the zionists want them to and i can't blame them. I am all for the idea "if i am going to go down then i am taking a few of those bastards with me". Palastinian martyrs are heroes for their people, they represent the resistance to exactly the "loser" mentality you describe. No one is strong forever and the only constant is change so todays oppressor can be tommorows oppressed.

Well said, the media honors soldiers equipped with all the modern technology and weapons who die in the hands of a primitive "homemade" bomb. The losers are the ones who can't seem to finish off the oppressed even though they have the upper hand. I'm all for underdogs.

Arafat is no hero, he was part of the problem and so is the Palestinian Authority. Arafat had a western wife no?

The Yanks (militarily) never lose, they create conflicts that they know can't be won. If they wanted to take over all of Afghanistan they would send a million troops there, but that's not good business. The goal of the American military complex is to make money off of military hardware, employ the otherwise hopeless members of society and take over a country just long enough to build relations and prop up the corrupt (insert nationals of any said nation here) so they can profit through business in the future.

Well that and in this case they are surrounding Iran with the goal of turning it into another afganistan/iraq situation so the only power in the middle east will be israel. This is not just about pulling for the underdog, its about fighting global domination and tyrany.
