I am guessing the reason he got confused is because the number of the bus and the product didn't give a unique solution ... for all factors of 36 (like 18-2-1, 9-4-1, ...) there is a unique sum except there are 2 cases when the sum is the same:

6-6-1 and 9-2-2 both add up to 13

Since he said "oldest" son, then the twins were the youngers.
    Precisely.

    You get an e-cookie.

Anileve, don't get frustrated. Seapahn came up with the solution given the info provided, so yes, it IS possible. Just give it a little more thought.

Hint: Write down all the possible combinations given the information provided (i.e. factors that give a product of 36), and look at the sums. It should all make sense after that.

I got a feeling you already looked at the answer though.

Can you find values for p and q so that p^q - q^p = 1927? To make it perfectly clea, this is an example for the year 1844, where p=3, and q=7:

        3^7 - 7^3 = 1844

Can you express 1927 in the same way?

Note: "^" is to the power of.

You can do this with any preselected number by using the same method all the time. Pick any number....let us say...974. Add one. That is 975. And that is "p". "q" will always be 1. No tricks here. This solution took me 2 seconds to come up with.

I found nine, and you can see the dog's anus.

I don't see the problem with the color trick. I had no issues reading it either way.

That's the same exact reaction that I had.

Actually, I only saw one face in the left side of the sky. There's another face behind the face all the way to the right. It's difficult to see, as it's almost completely hidden. You can really just see the mouth.

Yea, I see it, but that's just pushing it, haha. I guess that makes it 10 people, not 9.

As for the left side of the sky, there ARE two faces - one from the front and the other's a profile sharing one of the eyes.

                    • You know, there's actually an eyeball up above the other faces on the left side of the sky as well.
