Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • My review of "The Matrix Reloaded"

I just saw this movie a few nights ago. It was on late at night and I was bored.

    The Matrix Reloaded With Crap:

This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. A jumbled mess of a screenplay, terrible pacing, visually boring, and the story was flaccid and unimaginative. All of the fighting scenes were tedious, long and repetitive. The story and the dialogue were so forced I felt like I swallowed a stick of butter. Its visual style was not even consistent. It was choppy and uneven. There were so many visual effects that I felt I was watching an animated film... and not even a good one. "The Matrix Reloaded" is what happens when a couple of infants get a hold of a lot of money. Amateurish garbage. The Whackowski's should not be allowed near and camera or a computer as a result of this fecal "film".

Your movie reviews are about as insightful as a woodpecker attempting to paint squares.

I, too, was EXTREMELY dissapointed by the sequel and threequel (if you didn't like Reloaded, you'll rather eat a bullet than see Revolutions). It's like they were making up the plot as they go along. Visually, I didn't mind it, but the fight scenes WERE needlessly extended (10 minutes against 100 Agent Smiths just to fly away at the end? WHY THE HELL DIDN'T HE DO THAT TO START WITH?!). I still remember the feeling the first time I saw it at the theater. I didn't leave while the credits rolled. I just sat there, shocked and pissed off that this was it. How could it be? There was so much potential with the original, and how could the Wachowski brothers of all people (being the perfectionists they are) botch this up??? Way too much of a religious undertone (look at Smith's license plate when he pulls up towards the beginning to tell Neo he "set him free") in the follow up movies. Oh well, another potential theatrical great fallen victim to commercialization.

The license plate does not bother me as much as the idea of saving Zion. Phuck Zion.

Yes I was very dissapointed in the movies, after the first one I was expecting great things.

The second matrix was dissapointing except for the highway scene, which was great. Matrix 3 was true crap.

Well, the license plate was just a scratch in the surface. The biblical references are endless, and annoying. It's like a sci-fi version of the bible.

*By the way, this is your spoiler if you haven't seen Revolutions*

I did love the choreography of the fight scenes in ALL the movies (except for the length of them in II). I think what bothered me the most with part III is that they crammed so much in to II, and then III seemed so drawn out because they didn't have much left to explain. Just prepare for the show downs (Zion and Neo vs. Smith). I suspect we'll see a part IV some time in the distant future. They certainly left an opening for it with no explaination as to what happened to Neo (plus when the girl asks the Oracle if we'll ever see Neo again, she says "ohh, I suspect so"). Not to mention, everybody else came back to the Matrix after the Smith virus was destroyed from them. Why would Neo only die, then? Well, they ruined the story for me anyways, so I really don't care if there's another one.

The story should have just stopped with the first movie, which was fun but in no way brilliant.

Crimson, I agree with that fight scene. He fights 100 agent Smith's for 10 minutes, then just flys away?!

What does the license plate say?

I haven't seen Revolutions, probably won't until they release the 3 set DVD which I'll buy just to have it.

His license plate reads "IS 5416". In the King James Bible, Isaiah 54:16 says: "Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have the waster to destoy".
