Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

      axel,
This is a public forum/discussion, so please allow me to reply in English. I believe in transparency and having a private conversation may be a form of hiding.

Of course. If I did not believe in the above, then I would have simply assumed - as you did about who I am - an explanation based on my "experiences, readings and observations," instead of inviting you to explicit yourself.
Please keep in my mind that I was the one accused of tolerating diversity; so please.
Unfortunately, you did not, and continue to hide behind a question of methodology/epistemology, tangential to the subject.
Unfortunately, my questions remain eluded and your gratuitous and surprising "first" post - in this thread remains unexplained. Please share with us some of the knowledge distilled from your "experiences, readings..."
      While waiting, thanks!

Also, I wish you kept the above words of yours on your mind when making a parody of others.

mais l'expérience elle-même, si elle est un plus, ne compense pas le manque d'intelligence ou d'intuition, lesquels par contre peuvent suppléer à l'absence de la première.
I have already answered to the above and it is not in contradiction with my reply. However, I also added:
"If one does it, then cautious and modesty are necessary. Otherwise, one would take the risk of uttering - at best - nonsense. Worse, combined with prejudice, misinformation and excessive self confidence - as in the case of Anonymouse - it would simply sound like sensationalistic gossip - whether intentional or not."

If you read carefully the thread, you may notice that that was not what Anonymouse was discussing. I wrote about the integration issues.
Unfortunately - and surprisingly, you came out of nowhere with a quite pompous "discours magistral" that did not necessarily reflect the reality of this thread.
If you did not already, I suggest that you read the thread starting from the first post. Thanks. If you did, your reading surprises me.

This is a much broader discussion. If you are as "experienced" and "mature" as you claim to be, then you should have probably realized that, in real life, it's never about the "perfect" or "ideal" solution; but a "pis aller."
There is a reality and it is what it is. In moments of crisis, I would rather focus on specific problems and deal with existing situations, whether they - both situations and solutions - are "ideal" or not.
Strategically, I would consider focusing on other - more fundamental - aspects; but, so far, you have failed to suggest an alternative to the existing "imperfect" solution.

Reading your posts may give the impression that it may also be the other way around. Can it be that it is simply how you perceive it?
In any case, please stay above it and don't use it as an excuse to avoid explanations. Thanks.

Thanks. I will if I have time. For now, I'm here.
As for Derrida, Althusser, Bourdieu or Sartre; you are simply and obviously making - again - wrong and gratuitous assumptions.

I wrote in french because it was easier for me and I didn't have time to write in english. I was more than kind towards you given your overall attitude. You should have responded in french too but you saw the occasion of attacking me (knowing my message wouldn't be understood by others) I never uttered the word "mature" btw. You are a real coward, truly one of the greatest assh-les I've come accross on the net.

Ho Ho Ho! Are there any good little kids out there? No? Then, are there any self-absorbed misanthropists preferably from France writing whiny posts on the interweb? Ahh, there is one over there. Siamanto! Failed attempts at wit, elitist to the highest degree, he studied in France, and one of his professors was Jean-François Lyotard so he must be an intellectual. Oh, but wait, it appears that mouse creature has gotten under his skin. No can do. I need to find another self-absorbed elitist who loves France but doesn't let mice make them so touchy.

The Siamanto leaned back from his monitor in miserable frustration. "That mean mouse!" he lamented, punching his childhood teddybear from France® in its tummy, continuing in failure "That horrible mean mouse! He ruined my one shot at being Santa's favorite self-absorbed intellectual!"

I guess when Siamanto replies to axel, changing the name of the person who wrote the original post, from axel to Anonymouse, is one of the hallmarks of creativity taught to him under the post-modernist cirriculum in France. In his mind, it makes him appear witty and creative, since he can't really respond in substance, he figures he will just respond in some clever cute sort of way to deflect from his lack of content. Close but no cigar, you must try harder.

Isabelle Adjani is of Algerian-Turkish and German descent.

Nicolas Sarkozy ,probably the next president of France, is not of French origin.

Blaming religion and Islamist group for the riots in Paris would suit just fine many European governments.

Essentially those who are blaming religion or the immigrants are the ''useful idiots'' of the bourgeoise class.

The fact is that Rafaren's, Chirac's and Sarcozi's policies brought this SOCIAL rebellion in France. Many other people of lower classes that financially struggle under these policies will follow and more rebellions are about to follow in Europe in the next decades .
