      They are targeting Lebanese, but they don't even know for sure if the guys who attacked the lifeguards are Lebanese. They just said Middle Eastern appearance. For all they care anyone who doesn’t have blond hair and blue eyes is Lebanese.

          Well i don't want to generalize here, but allot of Australians, once drunk (which takes a few cheap beers) they think they can do anything.
          I don't agree nor condone with what happened to the lifeguards, but the way they carried on was wrong and they didn't achieve anything by it, they only angered the Lebanese community who have on care in the world about others. This said, I am going to go to the hairdresser and change my hair colour to blond
          hehehe

          although, I grew up with Australians (all the Armenians lived too far from me) I don't ever remember having racial comments.

                That seems to be typical to Anglo-Saxons; it's the same in the US. I've seen many British behave in a similar manner.
