  • Love, sex, ecology (and poop!)

Two strapping, handsome males spot her--the gorgeous fertile female standing in the swaying grass. She turns away. They both dash to make their impression on this young sexy, naked, girl.

Sh*t! That's it. There it is--the black gold! They know the one with the biggest balls will win her affection and passes on his genes to another generation...

They scurry to see who can roll the bigger ball of dung to impress her. Really, though, what woman isn’t swept away with a giant ball of elephant poop!

**I sometimes wonder what dung beetles would say/think about human courtship.**
I enjoy thinking about comparisons between mating rituals of human, and non-human animals.
    I find these pictures funny:

Without dung beetles, the planet would literally be overrun with poop . They do really spread the love, and that sh*t, around! (and fertilize soil, while they do that.) Humans likely couldn't live without nature's poop-lovin creatures. Lest you doubt the critical importance of the dung beetle:

But, I've never gotten a poop ball.

      Poop.

There isn't any hidden meaning above... (just twists on words.)

Random/odd mating rituals is the subject, here.

[Edit] I'm an ecologist. I'll teach ecology in whatever way people will listen... Sex usually gets attention.

You're not an ecologist. Stop lying please.

                    Yah.

--She's Always A Woman, Billy Joel (Siggie said I could)

She can wait if she wants (to be a waitress?)
                    She's ahead of her time
                    Oh-and she never gives out
                    And she never gives in
                    She just changes her mind

                    And she'll promise you more
                    Than the Garden of Eden…

                    She is frequently kind
                    And she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
                    She's nobody's fool
                    But she can't be convicted
                    She's earned her degree

And the most she will do
                    Is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me..

See? I EARNED the right to call myself 'an ecologist."
