You aren't getting the point I was trying to make, that there are too much differences between the cultures. That was just an example and a freaking joke.

And I've seen many Armenians and Odar marriages not working and the men leaving their Russian wives and trying to find an Armenian one.

They will never understand why our parents stay with us and don't go to a retirement home, neither why most Armenian men don't do anything in the house work. My parents have nothing to do about it, it' my choice actually. I've had Belgian girlfriends and I've had Armenian girlfriends and guess what I could never marry any of the Belgians.

It's true, Armenianness is seldom understood by otars. I feel the pressure of having to act "Canadian" around other Canadians, especially Canadian women. How's that supposed to make me feel about my Armenian culture? I don't think I've ever experienced seeing an otar girl I've liked take a cultural interest in my background, to them it's just some obscure culture, or worse yet, some middle eastern thing.
