So, you don't disagree with the point I was making, but just one of the examples I used to try to illustrate that point. Not because it doesn't support the point, but rather because it "makes it sound" a certain way. If that's your issue, then go start another thread and rant about how widespread the belief in a flat Earth was at various points in history or what the church did or didn't teach regarding the shape of the Earth.

I'm disagreeing because the argument you're using makes it sound like prior to the American Empire and its minions taking over the world, majority of people believed the Earth was flat. History reveals the Church never taught a flat Earth and the bible doesn't teach a flat Earth.

If 70% of people believed in the tooth fairy, it wouldn't make it any more or less real. People in history were still wrong when the majority of them believed the Earth was flat or that the sun revolved around the sun.

Most educated people in Turkey (those that have worldly education) know very well that there was a genocide. It's the state and the government teaching that teaches a different history so anyone that hasn't developed past a high school education probably won't advance their views any further.

I know that there were some who posited a round Earth in Ancient Greece. In Azerbaijan, the majority of people believe that their lands were never part of Armenia (or whatever cockamamie thing they believe). Clearly, you would not be convinced that their beliefs are accurate simply because the majority of their people subscribe to them right?
