I have never talked to Armenians from Tajikistan. I had met some friends in Armenia last summer who were from Kazakhstan, but never Tajikistan.
By the way, I'm sure you probably have relatives in Los Angeles, but if that is not the case, let glendeltsis know if you need any help once you get here.

yes im from Tajikistan, very beautifull, friendly country. There was much armenians, but after the USSR is down they all move to Russia, Armenia and other countries. We were want to move to Artsakh, but war is started and we stopped in TJK for a long time. My major dream is Artsakh, but now im not so rich to move there. I hope in future ill come.

i dont know how armenians living in US really, are they strong, are they united, but i can say one, in russia armenians are really bad diaspora.
And russia are not so friendly for armenians and Armenia.

And im so happy to speaking with armenians from so far country for me. Its like a 2 brothers which was separated in 1915 and now speaking again.

haha no problem at all. English was the third language after Armenian and Farsi, so I know how it is. And you don't have to apologize, many of the members on this forum are from different countries and not everyone speaks english fluently. Hopefully you can work a few years here, save some money, and move there.

Yes, I haven't met very many Russian Armenians, but it seems everyone assimilates and becomes Russian really fast. Growing up in Iran, it was almost unheard of to ever have an Armenian marry an Iranian. We would call them Tookatsats, and it was considered a shame. Also there was great political unification in the Armenians in Iran. There was a lot less concern about Dashnak and Hnchak, and more worry about Armenia, and more people participated in Armenian events. I think all of this was because we lived amongst muslims, so it was a lot harder to assimilate, and the only people you could relate to were Armenians. But in Russia it seems very common to marry Russians. The only advantage the Diaspora in Russia has compared to America is that there are many more powerful Armenians (the billionaires, sergey levrov, the armenian lady at the head of RT).

in America, especially in Los Angeles, there is a lot less assimilation and we have a small Armenia here. Its a little bit more similar to what I remember in Iran, but not nearly the same. Also there are more Armenian organizations like the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) and AGBU and ARS and many Armenian television networks, including ones from Armenia. There are also many Armenian youth organizations like Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) and Unified Young Armenians (UYA). But there is still some assimilation. Also there aren't many Armenians in powerful positions like in Russia. Also there isn't very strong unification. There is still the 100 year old rivalry between Dashnags and Hnchaks, and there used to be a lot divisions between Hayastantsi and Parskahye youth, but thankfully that's not the case anymore.

It is good to see to many armenian organisations in USA. But i think the best organisation is the Armenian wife, armenian childrens, i mean armenian family, and of course armenian big relatives

One simple question. Do you need to be rich to move to Artsakh ? And if so, what level of wealth does one need to move to Artsakh ? I am curious. I visited Artsakh and simply fell in love with her indescribable beauty. However ,I was a guest and travelling all the time I did not have the opportunity to become familiar with the internal situation, such as cost of living, a normal wage, and how much does one require to see a month through. Your information would be most welcome.
