OMG. I have never been dumped, however, all the women I am no longer "dating" are still in proximity with me and we keep in touch and we are all friends. This is because I am mature and showed them respect by breaking up in person. By communicating and talking about it up front. If I sent them a letter, or an IM or even worse, a message on their cell phone, how do you think they would have felt. Yes, they have to listen to the whole thing and they cant interrupt, but when they want to talk, they have to depend on IM or a phone message are a letter which can take days....days of anger and sadness and confusion.
Just be mature about it. You were mature enough to start a relationship, now you have to be mature enough to end one. Its a matter of respect.
Also, even if you are just dating the guy and V-day comes up, you should always get him something. Just get a card or something, or a shot glass. Something small. It doesnt symbolize love, unless you are with an emotionally unstable kook. It simply means that you think about him, and by doing little things like that, he will know that you are thinking about him.
xxxx, I just get flowers from my garden, some from the freeway, put them together, and you have a boquet! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Let no1 reply to this thread."An angel runs
Thru the sudden light
Thru the room
A ghost preceeds us
A shadow follows us
And each time we stop
We fall"
