But, i must tell this, my uncle had love at first site on a girl, who was really pretty and then he met her, they got engaged and they are married for the last 29 years. I think it happens one in a million.
He was really struck from her beauty.

Well I believe in it, sometimes just sometimes, when a man sees a woman he knows he will end up with her, that he would love her given the chance. You can tell.

Well ya if you put it that way, my parents got married on their first date too and have been married for i dunno 30 years or more. BUT see thats what I ment when I said that Attraction at first sight can lead to Love later on. Because they worked so hard to get it to that level. LOVE does not just happen! There must be compromises met, personalities similar, hard work, and willingness on both parts. "LOVE" can not exist just because.

I assume that love at first site is love of an image. Usually guys fall in love with the beauty of a girl, not necessarily with the person.

Then "love" is being limited, and braught down from its actual meaning. I thought love was suppost to be more than just appearance, that would be more like lust.

I believe in Lust at first sight but not Love. I think Love is something that needs time to grow. After all, you love someone for what they. You love the little things they do the most. How could you know all that stuff if you've just met?

aaahhh this thread reminds me of that song...."i've loved you forever in lifetimes before..." now THAT would probably be the only case of love at first sight; where old souls/lovers reunite...

yeah well, more often than not people end up "settling" for someone they don't even really love for various reasons...how sad and lonely! YES! just settling for whatever must be a very lonely feeling than solitude itself! what a waste of life...
