  • Getting Back Together

Is getting back together with your ex a good idea or not? Is it better to leave it as it is because if there was a break up, then there's something missing in the relationship? Or is it sometimes a good idea to get back together because maybe it might have been a mistake? Well......?
    I see...

Umm not speaking from personal experiance but from experiance as i have seen things..... I would say it soley depends on the reason fro breakup, you know sometimes there are no reasons at all.. lol.. just stupid minor things which afterwards are seen to be stupid minor things and then they could get back together.. but also, i have a friend who doesnt want to get back together and certainly wouldnt be a good idea for other reasons,, tehy broke up due to more life situated reasons, stuff that really does make a difference.. so in other words.. it depends

I think it's a bad idea. I've been there and done it and it was a big mistake. The best way I can think about it is advice someone gave me before I got together with my ex. She said that it's like a vase that falls and breaks into pieces. You can use the best damn glue out there to glue it back together but there are always going to be those microscopic cracks, sometimes visible, and pieces that are too small to glue back in. So, you have to not look at the cracks ever again and never expect the relationship to be as great as it was before. That said, I guess sometimes if it's a silly stupid reason and big feelings weren't hurt during the break-up, then it's possible for the new relationship to work out. As long as the person you're getting back together with doesn't become a lying cheating @sshole. Nah, I'm not bitter. Really!

From personal experience I would say it's kind of impossible, because there are things that u say and he/she says and either u mean it or not, but its already done. Afterwards, it's hard to watch the other person's eyes and be the same with him/her.
LIke Bejug said, there are always the cracks and ull always have to be reminded about the reasons that u broke up, and it's not going to be the same, it's going to be an unstable relationship with lot of questions hanging; which will lead again to break ups and hard feelings.
But, always depends on the situations, the reasons, the circumastances. In my occasion is impossible, for further question contact me on PM, otherwise good luck.

        Sincerely,
        Fire

I would say it depends as well... sometimes being apart changes your perceptions and you may see tiny things that you argued about before as what they are... inconsequential. *shrug*

Ya, it won't work. I like the vase reference.

Unless the vase only broke into two pieces and we had very very good glue to put it back together to make it as good as new ... lol.. i need to go to work..

what if you make a mosaic with the pieces that looks better than the vase?

                    I agree with dusky.

Anyway, like I said, as long as the mosaic doesn't cheat on you with another vase until he's ready to marry you.... you're O-KAY!

Uhm, it makes sense to me!
