Good excuse?

It wouldnt bother me if my best friends forgot or a boyfriend. But my best friend wouldnt forget. I wouldnt set down and worry about it. You just want the closest people in your life to remember the day you were born.

Its never to late to show someone you care for them and say Happy B-day even if its a week too late. I would still be happy. But giving me tulips to say I'm sorry I forgot wouldnt hurt..hehehe...

it is your birthday coming up, and you have a friend who is like your borther/sister.. and your birthday comes and passes.. he/she does not say "happy birthday" ... or if he/she is your gf/bf.. or worst yet actually.. its a friend whome you have a crush on (more sensative times).. tell me that it wont bother you at ALL if they forgot yoru birthday? i mean. i wouldnt get worked up about it.. but it would bother me a litle bit i presume..

No one ever forgets my birthday. Yes, I'm THAT special.

If a very close friend forgets my birthday, I'm sure I'd be a little upset but I don't make a big thing out of it. So far none of my close friends have missed wishing me a Happy Birthday, but incase they do, it's OK. It really is. I'm sure there's a good reason. :-)

I think it's a damn good excuse. I don't, however, think there is any good excuse for working 45 hours and going to school full-time. You should know you'll end up snappy, neglectful, and forgetful. You need to slow down if you want to maintain any semblance of good relationships with people.

If you're really working 45hr a week and going to school full time I'd give you a medal. And it's ok if you forget where you put it.

It isn't that hard. I worked 50 hrs a week and carried a 15-18 unit load at school. From what I can recall, I wasn't a b*tch to people either.

You might want to consider asking him whether he feels stressed or under a lot of pressure, rather than asking us if he has a good excuse. If he can't handle the workload, he should slow it down.

I have and he does. He says that now that school is over it'll be different. He shall see. So far, not so different, but it's only been a couple days.

So how long have you known this guy? Do you think it's the workload or has he always been an a-hole? Have you observed him around other people to see the way he treats them relative to the way he treats you?

I've known him for 7 years and he's remembered by b-day himeself only once in 7 years. As far as being mean and snappy it's been more the last couple years, but he's been in school for longer than that.
I don't deny that his schedule is stressful or that his job is (IT manager) stressful. I just don't think it's a good excuse to be mean.
We've all been stressed and at least for me, someone would have to be really persisent in annoying me for me to snap at them. In his case, I've called him before and asked a question and he's all but screamed "i dont have time for this" and hung up. Rather than "I'm busy right now. Lets talk about it later" or "i can't talk now, I'll call you back".

So as long as you've known this guy, he's been a forgetful d*ckhead, but only recently has he crossed over into the realm of outright violent snob. Why can't my girlfriend's standards be as low as yours?
