Love is that force which creates the most comfort between two people in order for them to freely talk about having diarrhea.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Human beings are NOT capable of feeling unconditional love. The one and ONLY unconditional love that if felt is that of a parent toward his/her child. We are just sick like that. We measure everything and put conditions on our relationships. That's just how we are. So f---ing whattttt you do unexpected things? Why is it unexpected? BECAUSE WE ARE SELFISH CREATURES WHO ONLY DO THINGS TO PLEASE OURSELVES THE REST OF THE TIME...so when we do something for someone else..it's like.."OH WOW I MUST LOVE YOU"...NO!

This is what love means to me:

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:5-7

well there are lots of types of love but what you are probably meaning in this question is in a relationship. So love to me in a relationship means always being there no matter what, through the good and bad, no relationship is perfect. you should put that persons needs before your own if you truly are commited and love that person.

Nothing in the world is unconditional, nor SHOULD it be. Not even a parent's love for a child.

                Love- is Anterior to life-
                Posterior- to Deth
                Initial of Creation and
                The Exponent of Earth

What's up with all of these attempts to define love anyway. I mean, if love had a definition, then it would lose all of its power and mystery.

EXACTLY... love is a mystery that's why we all want to test it... if it was something usual, I don't think that any of us would try to define it...
the best definition of love is....
"LOVE is like <pi>; natural, irational and very important" (I can't remember who wrote that)... more than this it's hard to say

*rolls eyes* I used to feel that way... I used to have those ridiculous ideas on the "mystery of love".... don't get me wrong, I'm a hopeless romantic, but I also believe all this "mystery" surrounding love is what leads to cheating, divorces, getting sick of one another, and all that other stuff that "confused people in love feel"

If you don't know what love is and how to handle it in a mature way non-mysterious confused way, then you have no business being in love.
