The term "unconditional" means you love somebody with out any conditions. They don't have to do anything to make you love them, and there's nothing they can do to make you hate them. I find this not to be true.

Perhaps you misunderstand what I'm saying.. when someone says "the love for a child by a parent is unconditional" that means EVERY parent, EVERY where. That's different than saying "MY love for MY child is unconditional." If there is even one parent our there who hates their child (and believe me... there's more than one) guess what, "a parent's love for a child" is NOT unconditional.

yeah, "parents are people too" and by that i mean they can also suffer from psychiatric ailments; even if one has a murderer for a child, i doubt the parent can stop loving the child, perhaps they will be ashamed of their son/daughter and pray for his/her soul's salvation; but a parent cannot truley stop loving their child; the child is a part of them! unless they're a crack addict or schizophrenic and have an extremely distorted perception of the world

hehe thats my all time favrite quote- holds alot of meaning...

          heres the rest of it....

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love,I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. if i have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Thank you for completing it. Hopefully, this will guide some of the lost and confused souls who take love the wrong way.

I am really glad you posted that. That is one of the most beautiful literature in the Bible...not to say all of them are not. Thanks angelik that never fails to put a smile on my face each time I read it.

                  I know nothing about love.
I'm a monstrous mass of vile, foul & corrupted matter.

Love means absolutely nothing to me, which reminds me the part of me hating love. But anyways lets move on...
