- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

You are spreading disinformation to make yourself feel better

According to what I have seen and heard first hand, and according to your Patriarch Mutafoglu, around seventy percent of Armenians in Turkey marry Turks. I heard this from the mouth of Mutafoglu himself. Therefore what I am saying is not hearsay. There are roughly 30-40 thousand Armenians in and around Istanbul today. You do the math. With the continuation of your compatriot's Turkaphilia how many so-called Armenians will there be in the environs of Istanbul in a couple of generation? Istanbul Armenians are for the most part dead as Armenians, they are Turks with a Christian flavor. A Polsahai who is/was quite active in the Armenian community in NYC and who is a shady character himself once told me that there is approximately three thousand Polsahai in America that work as informants for Ankara. Anyway, Polis, the enclave of Western Armenian culture, died on the evening of April 24, 1915. What we have left today is the Turkified remnants of a once proud Western Armenian population. Call it like it is Tomasoglu, you may get more respect that way. Sorry I had to pee on your parade!

Bolsahyes like Turkey a tad too much from what I've seen, and they believe Ataturk was a great reformer and modernizer. Basically, they think the way Turks want them to think, and on top of it, they are oppressed in Turkey anyway.

With this new diaspora ministry being formed, perhaps leaders in the RoA will stop harassing their citizens and reach out to these communities (though I'm not counting on it).

You demand unity yet you love to draw lines between East/West, diaspora/native, regime/opposition (whenever it suits you).

Yes, they like the place they were born and lived in enough to change it. Agos puts its Armenian edition up online for free. I'd suggest you read it to get a glimpse of what Bolsahyes think about Turkey.

Yeah, well 40-50 years ago there were Armenians who thought the same of Lenin and Stalin. Some still do.

This reveals your delirium. When have I ever called for unity?

There will never be unity amongst Armenians. The reality is that unity does not and cannot exist within nation-states. Unity cannot exist when we have individuals like you and the rest of us that see you as low lives. You and several other like you here are glaring examples of why we simply cannot have unity. I see the kind you represent as garbage worthy of quick assimilation. I rather have quality over quantity.

And again, you keep sounding stupid because you keep attempting to push a selfish point regardless of how irrational and counterproductive.

See Tomasoglu, you are spreading more disinformation. In your little world (little mind) you think you are making a point. In reality you are revealing your low personal caliber and low intellect. Good or bad, through Stalin's movement Armenia was saved and an Armenian Republic with a modern society was created. Ask your Turkified relatives: what did Ataturk do for them? You are pathetic little child. More you speak more obvious it becomes. I have dealt with many like you. The likes of you try to protect the indefensible just to make themselves feel better. What happened to national pride, patriotism, objectivity and rational?

Do you see why I compare your kind to toiletries?

I meet enough "Turkahai" Americans to form an opinion without reading a news paper from Istanbul. I am sure others with eyes, ears and a healthy/rational mind can do so as well.

There is no citizenry on earth that is not harassed by its government in one way or anther. It's all relative. The fact of the matter is, the authorities in Yerevan are simply not harassing enough the terminal cancers in the Levon camp. And individuals like to you should stay out of Armenia and Armenian affairs. Maybe you can spend you free time listening to Bulent Erzoy with your parents. Oldu yavrum?

                1. "Stalin's movement" should be understood as "the movement of which Stalin was a member," not "the movement Stalin founded or co-founded"
                2. Does the above suggest that without "Stalin's movement" Armenia couldn't/wouldn't have had a "modern society?" Does it also suggest that it did not have a cultured/organized society before?

                3. Let's see what Stalin "gave" us:
Many Armenians joined the advancing Bolsheviks including those in the formation of the 20th and 22nd divisions of the 11th Soviet Red Army.[7] Afterwards, both Turkey and the newly proclaimed Soviet republic negotiated the Treaty of Kars, in which Turkey ceded Adjara to the USSR in exchange for the Kars territory, corresponding to the modern day Turkish provinces of Kars, Iğdır, and Ardahan. The medieval Armenian capital of Ani, as well as the spiritual icon of the Armenian people Mount Ararat were located in the ceded area. Additionally, Joseph Stalin, then acting Commissar for nationalities, granted the areas of Nakhchivan and Nagorno-Karabakh (both of which were promised to Armenia by the Bolsheviks in 1920) to Azerbaijan.[8] Stalin also felt that that the Armenian population was far too small to be accorded a republic of its own, and considered instead granting them autonomy under the auspices of another republic. However, Armenian leaders protested, and he reversed his decision.

With the induction into the Soviet Union, Armenians, along with Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Georgians, Germans, and xxxs were judged as "advanced" peoples, while other nationalities were deemed culturally backward.[9] [Armenians were already of certain cultural level before Stalin even existed. Siamanto.]The Caucasus and particularly Armenia were recognized by academic scholars and in Soviet textbooks as the "oldest civilisation on the territory" of the Soviet Union.[10]

From March 12, 1922 to December 5, 1936, Armenia was part of the Transcaucasian SFSR together with the Georgian SSR and the Azerbaijan SSR. Armenians enjoyed a period of relative stability under Soviet rule. Life under the Soviet Union proved to be a soothing balm in contrast to the turbulent final years of the Ottoman Empire. The Armenians received medicine, food, as well as other provisions from Moscow. Additionally, the Armenian alphabet was reformed to increase literacy among the populace.[The Armenian Alphabet System - i.e. pronunciation/orthography/... - is less confusing than the relatively "messy" Russian one, why didn't they further reform the Russian Alphabet System to "increase literacy?" Siamanto] The situation was difficult for the church, which was regularly criticized in educational books and struggled greatly under Communism.
                .......
After the death of Vladimir Lenin in 1924, Joseph Stalin took the reins of power. Armenian society and its economy were changed dramatically by Stalin and his fellow Moscow policy makers. In 1936, the TSFSR was dissolved under Stalin's orders and the socialist republics of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia were established instead. For the Armenian people, however, conditions only became worse under Stalin's iron fist. In a period of twenty-five years, Armenia was industrialized and educated under strictly prescribed conditions, and nationalism was harshly suppressed. Stalin took several measures in persecuting the Armenian Apostolic Church already weakened by the Armenian Genocide and Russification policy of the Russian Empire.

In the 1920s, the Church was robbed of its worldly possessions. Initially, Stalin's attempts to remove religion from the Soviet Union did not immediately reach Armenia. In 1932, for example, Khoren Muradpekyan became known as Khoren I and assumed the title of His Holiness the Catholicos.[11] However, in the late 1930s, the Soviets began attempts to physically eliminate the Church. This culminated in the murder of Khoren in 1938 as part of the Great Purge, and the closing of the Catholicate of Echmiadzin on August 4, 1938. The Church however survived underground and in the diaspora.[12] Talented Armenian leaders of the communist party such as Vagarshak Arutyunovich Ter-Vaganyan and Aghasi Khanjian also fell victim to the Great Purge, the former being a defendant at the first of the Moscow Show Trials.

As with various other ethnic minorities who lived in the Soviet Union under Stalin, tens of thousands of innocent Armenians were executed and deported. In 1936, Lavrenty Beria and Stalin worked to deport Armenians to Siberia in an attempt to bring Armenia's population under 700,000 in order to justify an annexation into Georgia.[13] Under Beria's command, the Communist Party of Armenia used police terror to strengthen its political hold on the population and suppress all expressions of nationalism. [b]Many writers, artists, scientists and political leaders were executed or forced into exile.[Like in April 24 1915??? Siamanto.]

Additionally, in 1944, roughly 200,000 Hamshenis (Sunni Muslim Armenians who live near the Black Sea coastal regions of Russia, Georgia and Turkey) were deported from Georgia to areas of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Further deportations of Armenians from the coastal occurred in 1948, when 58,000 nationalist Armenian Dashnak supporters and Greeks were forced to move to Kazakhstan.[14]

I'd like to think of myself as a true and proud Hye. I would only date and marry an Hayastantsi man, in fact I prefer a pure one from Yerevan, everyone else isn't really pure or educated enough for me. My boyfriend is from Yerevan and I can't imagine connecting with anyone who is not Hye, I mean I can try to tolerate Armenians from other places, but Turkey? Like NO WAY, too close to the blood bath!!! Anyway, that's just my personal preference.

I absolutely despise anyone who dates, let alone marries, an odar. I have a lot of Armenian friends and most of my girlfriends are like hot Armenian chicks and they have hot Armenian guys. They all drive Benzes and work in the financial industry. They all have higher education degrees and speak fluent Armenian.

So...basically what we like to do is pick on people who date other nationalities. I mean if an Hyastantsi is dating an odar, and he is just playing around, it's ok, but once he gets serious, that's another story. So we like gather around them and try to embarrass them in front of their significant other. We call them traitors, fakes, odar lovers, sell outs and rotten fruit. At parties we try to gossip about them to others, and if others can ridicule them or exclude them then our mission is accomplished.

I know it sounds a little tough, but what they are doing to our nation and our people is disgraceful. I mean they are the ones who are possibly more or less responsible for our future extinction, so they deserve it. Tough times require tough measures. It works too, you guys should try it.

Are you accomplishing anything. Like to know your taughts. Im not trying to argue just want to know what you gain from making fun of people just because they dont marry an Armenian.
