Just wanna know if there are people here who study the same thing as I do or work in the sphere of engineering. Anybody programming FPGAs with VHDL or verilog, or other PLDs? Anybody doing high level soft development with C/Java or any other lingo?

Re: Any software or hardware programmers out there?
Yah I use C/C++ on a daily basis. I've also messed with VHDL (and some Verilog) in the past at various jobs and also teaching classes and what not.
I'd love to find some time to learn more python but I never seem to get around to it. I hope that doesn't mean I'm getting too old... worst thing you can do when working with software is to be stuck in one world (whether it's C/C++, java, python, haskel, go, uml, matlab, visual basic, etc etc) ... though of course it helps to master at least just 1 language and go on from there.
this post = teh win.
