Turkey said they will not open the border unless there is noticable progress ( READ the Armenian side has cracked its only a matter of time). That is their stated position.

SO if the border is opened we know what it means.

IF border does not open then SS will not attend. That is SS's stated position.

What I pointed out were the stated positions.
What will happen I do not know.
From now on I think is a case of see what happens and read between the lines.

I know very well where SS comes from. I am aware of his patriotism on the battle field and of many others who similarly risked and sacrificed their lives for our country.

I am also aware of the personality changes that they went through when in civilian clothes.
I am not saying that they will go as far as to betray our country at will.
You have to remember 90% of the decisions about our future comes from others, outside power driven by their self-interest.

Ok guys, calm down, it seems there won't be any carnations or expressions of well-intention as it's announced that the match will be held in Bursa, not in Kayseri as the above article claimed.
And I think that the people of Kayseri, who had friendly relations with Armenians in the past, just wanted to express their desire for good relations with Armenia. Anyway, they won't be able to.

You must have Kayseri confused with Konya. The Turks in Kayseri were exceptionally brutal to Armenians for centuries prior and during the Genocide. Turks in Konya were/are Alevi and were often sympathetic to Armenians. There are very few Armenians left with ties to Kayseri due to the massacres not just from the authorities but conducted by the Kayseri Turkish populations as well. Kayseri is one example that debunks the Turkish myth that only Armenians near the combat zone were impacted.

This is as positive as when Dink was murdered and we got in return a demonstration or two where they shouted "We are all Armenians"

The voices faded away our loss was permanent.

We got results. Don't degrade what the Turkish people did. That was a major step in so many ways. Let's respect that! It's not easy to move a mountain...

I think you are totally confused between politics and individual human beings.

Don't degrade what the Turkish people did.

I did not degrade the Turkish people (human beings).
On the contrary I acknowledged their demonstration including the fact that they were shouting "We are all Armenians."
I cannot see a situation where a group of Armenians will shout "We are all Turks".
So the Turks must be more broad minded than Armenians!!.

That was a major step in so many ways. Let's respect that!

What the murder or the demonstrations?


Just to refresh everybody's mind
This was a POLITICAL MURDER not from a political opponent but organs of the state with links to the police and the army.
The victim's guilt was, an Armenian ( also a Turkish citizen) trying to break the Genocide taboo in Turkish society.
After the murder there was no remorse shown from the those officials.
On the contrary the murderer was treated as a hero.

We got results.

No.
The Turkish establishment got results.
This was achieved by putting the fear in the Armenian community as to what will or will not be tolerated.
Also a strong message was sent to the few brave Turks who have the courage to fight for the truth.
