Well looks like VM is out and Rubo has a chance to actually hire a qualified coach. Lets hope he gets someone good with experience this time.

Yura is world class and I would be not be surprised if several Serie A scouts were there to watch him and evaluate. He's big, strong, fast, fluid, fearless and would be an asset to any side he's on.
    Wrong.

Haroyan has been very good during the qualification cycle. His blunder during the Denmark game doesn't change that.

Haroyan is not awful-he is very raw. This guy will be the best defender Armenia has ever had but this is his first campaign with the big boys. The mistakes he made were because of inexperience and poor coaching but he has a lot of talent and the fearless instinct to defend. The second yellow he got in the game you mention is because of the stupid coach that we have who allowed him to stay in the game after the first yellow knowing that he is a raw, aggressive, inexperienced player who is likely to get that second yellow. What i do not understand is the horrible passing by some of our players-they pass the ball like this is the very first time they have ever attempted a pass. Honestly it reminds me of how the kids on my 9 year old son's team pass the ball.
It was Ian Porterfield that instilled a winning attitude into our team and it is players like Yura who continue that tradition but unfortunately our younger teams have not had such leadership and do not have a winning attitude.

Our coach still sux but we have some good players in our starting lineup with our hero Yura coming through for us time and again. Was a interesting campaign and i can't wait till we try for the Euro.
Offensively, Armenia is really coming into its own. Defense is another story.

If only Armenia had beaten Malta the second time and at least held Denmark to a draw in Yerevan!

We play Italy today in the last match of this wc qualifiers. We still have a remote chance to qualify if we win today in Italy but that alone is a remote chance so..

    Armenia 2 - Bulgaria 1
Finely a win at home. Not the prettiest game but it never is against the vulgar Bulgarians whose dirty playing style finely caught up to them with two of their players being ejected. That loss to Malta is really biting us in the ass now.
