The funniest news ive heard all week, azerbaijan and Georgia want to host Euro 2020.

I don't think they will get it. It seems UEFA is regretting letting Poland and Ukraine host it, and the Poles are criticizing the Ukrainians for not taking things seriously in preparing the venues on time. Also, I really do not see how Georgia can afford to pay for it. Moreover, Azerbaijan is getting flak for Eurovision, so just imagine the ruckus that will be raised against them should they be awarded the games.

i think Mkhitaryan is the engine that drives the team. Without his work in the midfield i dont think Movsisyan would be as dominant as he is. Mkhitaryan controls the middle of the field.

Agree 100%. Armenian soccer is headed in the right direction and now that they've had a taste of victory the last couple of years, they are going to get hungrier to win.There will be some setbacks but the days of being the doormat are over and would be unacceptable to the organization, fans, nation etc but as the article rightly noted, Armenia is weak on defense and will soon be weak at goaltending when Berezovsky eventually retires. They need some speed and size in the back end. Offensively if these core players continue to play together, Armenia has a dangerous team as you said. The player I admire the most is Movsisyan. He anchors it all.

He is also my favourite player. Wit his great acceleration and speed he is the one who raises the tempo of the game and raises the "terror level" in the opponent's camp.

For all of these rising stars with endless potential at forward and midfield, if we only had one or two young defenders develop into something special, we would truly become a complete a team. It is the single Achilles heel of the team.

Also don't forget Norair Mamedov. He was supposed to play in the game against Canada but something came up. He has already accepted an invite to the national team. He is 20 years old, a striker and he places in Netherlands for Zwolle. The team is in the Eerste Divisie which is one below the top league but they are currently first and they will most likely be promoted to the top division.

He will play in May against Greece. He said he wasn't feeling 100% ready to play on the international level, he wanted to put more of his current time into winning the Erste Divisie cup, and he will change is Muslim name to his proper (Armenian) family name.
