Even by watching football, you can see the nature of Europeans. They will do anything to win, just as we saw with the Irish. Unsporting, cheating, doing everything just to win, they have no honour. This is nature for them.
Strange. Very strange. Armenian keeper Roman Berezovski deals well with a deep cross by Stephen Kelly, despite Simon Cox jumping into him, and clearly feels he has been fouled. There is no whistle by the referee but Berezovski wants treatment and drops the ball at the feet of Cox, who promptly taps in to the unguarded net. Only then does Spanish official Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez get involved, but I'm pretty sure that should be a goal. Massively unsporting, yes, but still a goal as far as the rules go
We should have won the game. Irish team was nothing, oh how the game would be if we didn't get the undeserved red card for Berezovsky.
Bad luck and bad calls screwd us but boy we have a talented team that has a very bright future. The red card was clearly a bad call since the ball hit nothing but the goalies chest! 11 vs 11 i say we are the better team. Yura lookes dangerous as he always is- i cant wait to watch this young man develop on our nt. This run is over but i feel a possible qualification for a world cup in our future.

That would be even more difficult. For 2014 World Cup, we are in group B, and have to play against teams like Italy, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Denmark, and the only "easy" one, Malta.
We were robbed. The sending off of Berezovsky changed the whole nature of the game. Have to hope for better luck in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, although it's a tough group.
I woke up this morning thinking I don't care what happens, they have already surpassed all expectations and have won with honor. However, I am so disappointing, because we did not get out played. We didnt lose to a better team. We were completely robbed.
On a call that if anything was a hand ball on the forward, that bold ignorant referee, decided he cannot possibly be wrong, doesnt consult with his assistant referee, doesn't look up to the scoreboard, thinking, hey at least if I'm wrong and I should give a yellow and not red. The incompetent fool takes out maybe the most experienced goalkeeper in all of Europe, makes us a man down, and forces the 3rd string, 20 year kid into the most important game in a countries history. The pathetic cowardly Irish looked so out of place and lost, I have no doubt that with our goalkeeper, playing 11 v 11, we would have easily defeated them.
Having said all of that, I am extremely proud of how we performed. This is a sign of the direction the country is moving in, in 20 years of independence, we have gone from being ranked 159th 17 years ago, to easily one of the top 30 to 40 teams in the world. With a lot of young talent, and growing international attention which is bound to bring in Diaspora talent, we will only improve.
Idiot call by taking out Roman and the embarrassing own goal. We could have definitely won that. The FIFA group is going to be even harder to advance through, but still I'm proud of our team.

"Western Assimilation is the greatest threat to the Armenian nation since the Armenian Genocide."
I have a question I was wondering if someone could answer for me
Is Marcos Pizzelli Armenian? I assumed he was full armenian, but I was told by a friend today that no, he is 100% Brazilian, and that he is simply on the national team because he played on the Armenian club and gained citizenship like that. However, on wikipedia it states that he Brazilian-Armenian, so I am somewhat confused. Is he Armenian at all? and if so is he pure Armenian?
To my knowledge he is full Brazilian. It says Brazilian-Armenian because he has dual citizenship. He was given Arm. citizenship in order to be able to play. He's a good player though and happy to have him on our team.
